Clinical Services

I offer culturally informed, evidence-based virtual therapy. Culturally informed means I encourage you to bring your whole self to therapy as we explore how different dimensions of your identity (e.g., race, gender, faith) influence your lived experiences. Evidence-based means I use therapeutic techniques with a solid research foundation. These techniques are tailored to your unique needs.

Here’s what you can expect

  • 01.

Initially, we will have a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine whether my skillset will meet your needs.

  • 02.

If we agree that we are a good fit, we will schedule an intake appointment during which I will ask you questions about your past experiences and current concerns.

  • 03.

During our next couple of appointments, we will collaboratively identify goals and create a plan that will best serve your needs.

  • 04.

Throughout therapy, we will regularly revisit our plan and review your progress.

My desire is to empower you to move from surviving to thriving.

Maybe it feels like you’re barely making it through the day, or you have it all together but just need some support. You deserve a full, nourishing life and I look forward to walking beside you on your journey!

I welcome clients of all backgrounds and have experience serving Black individuals and first-time therapy clients.

I currently accept Aetna and BlueCross and BlueShield. I recommend contacting your insurance company and asking the following questions:

  • Which mental health services are covered?

  • Is there a deductible that needs to be met?

  • What is my co-pay for each session?

  • Is there a limit to the number of sessions covered each year?

  • Is a pre-authorization required?

  • Is my provider in-network with my plan? If not, what is my out-of-network deductible and/or coinsurance for mental health services?

Alternatively, you can choose private pay ($220 for intake session, $175 for therapy session).

In addition to therapy services,
I offer an array of trainings and workshops.

I am passionate about teaching others how to initiate conversations related to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, respond to racism (and the other -isms!), and communicate their needs and limits.
